Day 6

Well, today was our first day setting out past the warmth of a house into the east. starting out with a 20 mph tail wind, we made easy time getting to 50 miles before stopping for a big lunch. Weighed down by our food, we struck out again, with the wind dying behind us, for a total of 115 miles for the day, and promise of another good day tomorrow.
It is with deep regrets that this morning we said goodbye to another rider, Eamonn, who finally came to his senses, realizing that not only was he giving up his summer, but he was giving up a bed and warm food. With a final goodbye, he hopped the train back to sanity, and he will be missed. The tent is too roomy now Eamonn, we miss you.

  2. Bet is was brave of Eamonn to step up and say "Thanks, but would rather not"...and very brave of Colin and Ian to not want to follow in his footsteps! The journey is but a fetus...keep going and thanks for the daily updates.
