day 33

It is over. We have done it! 80 miles, and we have ended our little trip. Now, we have ~3300 miles down, with 15 flats, and a little over 200 hours on the bike.

  3. Congratulations on the end of your journey. You did us proud and deserve a day off. Maybe two days off. Oh Happy Days!!

And now for a distribution of prize money.

If your airline doesn't get a flat tire on the McCarthy's way back the Stuebing/Cameron family wins the flat tire contest. They guessed 12. The next closest to the actual 15 number was Kathy and Becca with 21. Ed Drouin will bring the ten smackers to Bob when school starts.

When Kate announces the winner of the Best Road Find category the $6 prize money will be awarded.

While I technically won the contest of when they would arrive at the Atlantic (I had a guess of 31 and 35 days - it was 33) I think Ed Drouin actually won with his guess of "Never." As geographically confused as they were they may have landed at an irrigation pond in Missouri and thought it was the Atlantic ocean.
