With a side wind reaching 20 MPH from the south/east, we set off, striking east. Making sure to get plenty of stops as to not get tired, we traveled on to Carrington, where we found 2 dollar Ben and Jerry's to snack on. Tomorrow, 20-30 MPH winds predicted, so we may turn north Grand Forks just to follow the wind.
I figured you would be beyond Grand Forks but my geography slips me. In Grand Forks we stayed in a park near the center of town. It told about historic floods to the area from 1997. The Red River. They are afraid to build where the park is due to this gigantic flood. Interesting place.
ReplyDeleteyes we were challenged by those same winds. Good luck, which ever way you go! this seems to be the main split in the northern route. north on 2 or south on adventure cycling? good luck on whatever you choose. looking forward to more posts! barb
ReplyDeleteWhile it's all wind and biking for you, we have been inundated in basketball here. For a record, the Cox boys went 6-0 on the first day of Hoopfest. Then Evan's team being the only one to advance to the finals. He lost, but it was great fun for all. We miss you guys. Stay well. Summer has finally landed here.
