Dakota and us don’t agree. We left Montana (at last), but, it was out of the frying pan, into the fire. North Dakota, although it looks the same, was horrible to us. The first thing was the fact that the traffic doubled do to the oil rush. This wasn’t helped by the fact that the shoulders became filthy, covered in gravel. Williston is in the heart of boom, and so is so busy, we were stuck in a hotel. The day ended with 100 miles, 4 flats, and lots of frustration. Thank goodness the day has ended.
Four flats!!! When our group went across the country we had exactly two flats for the entire distance. I am convinced you got flats so that I will lose the mega-bucks in the pot. I made two guesses - one was that you would have six flats and one was that you would have twelve. I guess my twelve is still in the running. Have you had five so far? If I don't win I hope that Kathy and Becca win. They guessed 38.
ReplyDeleteAnd Kate, we need an update on "Best Road Find." Surely there has been something better than Bigfoot's vertebrae found by John on Blanchard's Pass on the first day. Be sure to keep track of the day the discovery was made.
And when will you arrive at the Big Pond? We have bets ranging from 29 days to 44. (Actually Ed, he of little faith, said you would never arrive at the Atlantic.)Have you given this question any more thought?
we got a flat just outside of Culbertson. which way are you heading to Minot. Let us know what the flooding looks like! You guys a really riding strong. We had a hard time in Dakota as well, much hiller then we thought and I think we had a head wind from Culbertson to Fargo. Good luck we are thinking about you bunches!!
